Another hit followed in the multi-starrer Anandha Poongatre co-starring Ajith, Karthik and Meena, she let show of her acting skills in the film Rojavanam which established her as an actress and left her with three hits from three films.

First she appeared in Fair & Lovely commercials. She was successful actress in North. Since then her career has gone up with performances in Chandramukhi alongside Rajinikanth, Jyothika, Prabhu and Nayantara.
She also appeared in an item-number for the hit song VaaLa Meenukum in Chithiram Pesuthadi. She was also a part of Mani Ratnam’s stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai. Malavika married Sumesh in March 2007.
The couple are blessed with a baby boy on November 26th 2008 in Mumbai. Malavika made her first films with Tamil. In the film Pooporika Varukirom her role was short lived. After that she entered into Tollywood with Priya Nestama.
She got the opportunity to act with Kamal Hasan in Vasool Raja MBBS. In the same year she acted in Telugu film titled Chala Bagundi which was directed by E.V.V.Satyanarayana. She got good response from Telugu audience.
In 2004, she made her first Hindi film titled C U at 9. Later Malavika acted in guest roles in many films. Eventually Malavika acted in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, Bollywood films.Malavika married Sumesh in March 2007 and the Couple gave birth to a son on November 26th 2008 in Mumbai.
