Shilpa Shukla is an Indian theatre, television and Bollywood film actor from Bihar. She is known for her roles in the 2007 sports drama Chak De! India and the 2013 neo-noir film B.A. Pass, for which she was awarded the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.Do you remember the role of Sarika in the hot and sensual movie B.A. Pass? Well, she is none other than Shilpa Shukla. She is a known Bollywood movies and Indian theatre actor. She hails from Vaishali in North Bihar, however, was brought up in the national capital wherein she completed her schooling from Delhi Public Shool (DPS) RK Puam till standard 12th. She then went to Miranda House to complete do her graduation from Delhi University. Beside Delhi, she also lived briefly in Gujarat and Kolkata.
She comes from a traditional family of Bihari Bhumihar away from all the glamorous and glitter world. After Shilpa Shukla college, she started working with Maharaj Krishna Raina, who is a popular theatre artist. Later she got the chance to work with Arvid Gaur who happens to be the director of Asmita Theatre Group. Some of the plays wherein she has worked include Tara and Final Solutions, which were directed by Mahesh Dattani, while others include Antim Diwas, Ek Mamooli Aadmi and Rakt Kalyan. He then headed to Mumbai wherein she got the chance to work with her first movie called Khamosh Pani along with Kirron Kher and Aamir Malik. The very same year, she got the role in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’, along with Chitrangada Singh, Ram Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja and Saurabh Shukla.
