Sanam was to play a Black Belt Kung Fu expert, Katham Katham, directed by Babu Thooyavan, and Vilasam. The latter was her only release in 2014 and she had a "de-glam" role as a college girl in it.She has further more signed the Tamil films, Sawaari and Vellaya Irukkaravan Poi Solla Maataan, which would feature her as an NRI wife, and the Telugu film Srimanthudu, her biggest project till date. She is currently filming for her 1st Kannada film Vara.
