Monica Bedi (born 18 January 1975, in Hoshiarpur, Punjab) is an actress and television presenter. She debuted in Hindi films in the mid-1990s. She is well known after participating in Bigg Boss 2 and also for playing a negative character in Star Plus' Saraswatichandra from 2013-2014. Monica Bedi is an Indian actress.



 She has started her career in Bollywood with the movie Suraksha in 1995. She has acted in many bollywood films such as tirchi topiwale, khilona, janam samjha karo, Jodi No. 1 and many more. She has also acted in South Indian films like Taj mahal, Agneepath etc. She has appeared in many reality shows like Big Boss Season 2, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 and Desi Girl.



 She has played the role of Guman in daily soap opera Saraswatichandra on Star Plus.Monica Bedi Appears on Multiple Language films including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Kannda, Punjabi, Nepali Language Films. she was made her Acting Debut in the Media 1994, with The Hindi Film Main Tera Aashiq.

She was deported to India but because of lack of evidence the actress was released from Chanchalguda Central Jail on 25th July 2007. Earlier, Bedi in her interviews had said that although she knew Salem for several years but they had never got married.In September 2002, Bedi and Abu Salem were arrested and served jail sentence in Portugal for entering the country on forged documents.



 In 2006, an Indian Court convicted Bedi for procuring a passport on a fictitious name. In November 2010, the Supreme Court of India upheld her conviction but reduced the jail term to the period that she had already served.
