Sanchita Shetty Biography

Sanchita, born on April 7, 1989, basically belongs to Kannada origin. She was born to a very conservative family in Bangalore, Karnataka. Being brought up in middle level of lifestyle, she opted Tulu as her mother tongue. Her family calls her by the name Sanjitha, which means confidence. Her family is very supportive and fulfills her every desire. Her hobbies include music, chatting, reading thriller novels, dancing and playing video games.



 Surya is her favorite hero and Revathi is her favorite heroin.Sanchita Shetty is an Indian film actress, who has appeared in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. 



She is best known for featuring alongside Jayam Ravi in Thillalangadi, with the director of the film recommending her to also star in Orange featuring Ram Charan Teja. Her mother tongue is Tulu.e made her first film appearance in the Kannada all-time Blockbuster film Mungaru Male as a friend to the film's female lead (Pooja Gandhi).



In the next three years, she appeared in supporting roles in three Kannada films. She also appeared in a film titled Gaganachukki, which never released.She left the Kannada industry to work in Tamil and she was not willing to do anymore second lead roles. In 2012, she signed her first leading role in Kollaikaran.



She left the Kannada industry to work in Tamil and Telugu films. 2010 she appeared alongside Jayam Ravi in Thillalangadi, with the director of the film recommending her to also star in Orange featuring Ram Charan Teja, two of the year’s biggest films in Tamil and Telugu, respectively, although her role in both films was small. Following Thillalangadi, she took almost a year’s break because she was being offered only second leads, before signing her first lead role in Kollaikaran.



 2014 she essayed the female lead character in Nalan Kumarasamy’s black comedy Soodhu Kavvum which was a critical and commercial success and the biggest success in Shetty’s career.She joined a reputed academy of Bangalore to get training for dance and acting.



 She gave auditions for a Kannada movie and got the supporting role in movie ‘Mungaru Male’. She touched the heights of stardom with her first movie as the first role got her praise and recognition in South Film Industry. Her debut movie as female lead was ‘Kollaikaran’. 



She got the desired success in film industry after release of her super hit movie Soodhu Kavvum. She made her debut in Tamil Film Industry with movie ‘Pizza 2’. This thriller movie helped in increasing her fan following and making her a versatile actress.The girl in question is 20-year-old Sanchita Shetty, a Bangalorean who has bagged a prominent role in Bhasker's forthcoming flick, Orange.



 What makes it even more special for her is that in her first Tollywood attempt, she's sharing screen space with none other than current south sensation Ram Charan Tej. "I think he's really hot," she laughs, when asked about her prized catch. "I know many girls are dying to be in my shoes, but I guess I was plain lucky," says Sanchita, who'll soon be off on a 70-day shoot in Australia.she rose to stardom after starring in Soodhu Kavvum (2014).

She has verbal knowledge of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Tulu and Hindi.Aiming to essay only performance-oriented roles, Sanchita makes no bones about having a rule book when it comes to showing skin. "Unlike other newcomers, I don't think wearing a bikini will fetch roles. You need to be genuinely talented," she says. 



Being a Kannadiga, why isn't she doing Kannada films? "I did sign a film, titled Bharachukki, last year and it was shelved midway. Now, I have no offers and there are good projects coming my way from the Tamil and Telugu film industries. Why would I say no to them?" she signs off.
