Komal was born on 15-03-1987 in Ranhi ( Jharkhand ) to an orthodox Brahmin family. Her father is an Author and Philosopher Dr. Shyama Nand Jha. She then, completed her schooling from DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir Shyamali School situated in the MECON Colony in Ranchi where she used to reside in the same colony where Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni lived. Later on, she has gained an Engineering degree in Civil from MSRIT and stood top in her department. She was placed on campus by a accredited and reputed construction company situated in Dubai but after an year of her work, she resigned from her post to make her dream real in area of glamour and acting.
Apart from her acting skills, she is also interested to write poetry and also owing her own website meant for the same purpose.She gave auditions for a Kannada movie and got the supporting role in movie ‘Mungaru Male’. She touched the heights of stardom with her first movie as the first role got her praise and recognition in South Film Industry. Her debut movie as female lead was ‘Kollaikaran’.
