Anusmriti made her acting debut in the year 2011 with the Telugu film Vankai Fry.Later that year,She signed a Bengali film Bhorer Alo and replaced Riya Sen in this film. This film was directed by a National Award winning director Prabhat Roy.Throughout the early phase of her career, Sarkar did a series of films in both Bengali and Telugu industry.
